{"doi":"10.7490/f1000research.1119756.1","title":"Three years of ELIXIR-UK Data Stewardship training fellowship","abstract":"<ns3:p>The ELIXIR-UK Data Stewardship Training Fellowship (DaSH) has significantly impacted participant Fellows, fostering a culture change in FAIR data stewardship and research data management (RDM). Leveraging ELIXIR resources, DaSH has nurtured grassroots communities of practice within UK research-performing organisations (RPOs). Since 2021, 24 Fellows from 17 UK organisations have been recruited, becoming ambassadors for this cultural shift. </ns3:p>\n                <ns3:p/>\n                <ns3:p>The program has created 16  courses and continues to expand, offering them through the Galaxy Training Network. It includes FAIR RDM learning pathways and 47 bite-sized videos designed for learning on the go, and resource signposting. All resources are adaptable and openly accessible, supporting various topics for easy customisation and seamless incorporation into RPO staff training material. </ns3:p>\n                <ns3:p/>\n                <ns3:p>DaSH has also facilitated relationships between UK node members – Mentors and Fellows were connected across the UK. It has embedded Fellows into the broader ELIXIR strategy with the RDM Community, UK RDM and Training Clubs, the newly created ELIXIR-UK Human Data Community, co-led by one of the DaSH Fellows, and the FAIRsharing Community Champion Programme. </ns3:p>\n                <ns3:p/>\n                <ns3:p>Other Fellows have also actively engaged with other Nodes, where their ELIXIR-UK connection in DaSH served as a conduit for collaboration.
