{"doi":"10.7490/f1000research.1117757.1","title":"Mapping subjects and domains across the humanities and natural sciences in FAIRsharing","abstract":"<ns3:p>\n                  FAIRsharing is a manually-curated registry of research data standards, repositories and data policies across all research disciplines. Two application ontologies have been developed to provide hierarchical searching and improved editing and curation of FAIRsharing records. Originally based on the initial set of user-defined tags created by researchers within FAIRsharing, the two ontologies cover subjects/research areas (SRAO - Subject Resource Application Ontology) and research domains (DRAO - Domain Resource Application Ontology). SRAO and DRAO were created via both automatic and manual methods, and are built from over 50 external reference ontologies.
