Generally, after a shape is created in CAD system and it is used to create meshes for CAE. Sometimes when you try to modify meshes, there is a case that you cannot modify them because there is no original CAD data. In this case, there is a need to modify the meshes directly, and this study is about how to modify CAE meshes directly without linking them with the original CAD model. Currently, most of the methods for directly modifying meshes are to select and move nodes respectively, and when there are many meshes to be modified, it takes a lot of time and it is difficult to modify them accurately. In this study, planar or cylindrical surfaces are created by using nodes in meshes, and then the nodes move on the changed surfaces by the rounding, filleting and draft operations.
