The goal of surgerical therapy is total excision. Radiation therapy should be considered following partial resection of a meningioma and following resection of atypical or malignant meningioma. We report a 64-year-old female who underwent total excision of meningioma, but suffered from atypical meningioma multiple recurrence. The atypical meningioma involved malignant transformation that was fast-growing after the second resection and radiation therapy. The patient also suffered from radiation encephalopathy. We present the case and review the literature.
