Diabetes is a metabolic disorder characterized by high blood glucose levels due to inadequate insulin secretion or insulin resistance. Methods: Thirty mice were divided into five groups of 6, including: normal control, diabetic control, diabetic mice treated with 150 mg/kg CAT, diabetic mice treated with 150 mg/kg QCT, and diabetic mice treated with 150 mg/kg CAT, and 150 mg/kg QCT for seven days. Mice were anesthetized after overnight fasting on the 8th day, and the blood sample was collected and the levels of antioxidants and pro-inflammatory factors in serum, and the expression of ADP-ribose polymerase (PARP) protein were measured, and histological studies were performed. Results: The results showed that diabetic mice receiving QCT and CAT showed lower liver enzymes, fasting blood sugar (FBS), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cr), cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), TNF-α, and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) levels and increased high-density lipoprotein (HDL), total thiol, catalase, superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) levels in the liver compared to the ALLO group alone (P<0.001). The level of PARP protein significantly declined in the ALLO group compared to the control group. Conclusions: The findings of this study demonstrated that QCT, and CAT are reasonably effective in preventing hepatotoxicity and diabetes in mice.","journal":"Reports of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology","year":2024,"id":443971,"datarank":0.0,"base_score":0.0,"endowment":0.0,"self_citation_contribution":0.0,"citation_network_contribution":0.0,"self_endowment_contribution":0.0,"citer_contribution":0.0,"corpus_percentile":null,"corpus_rank":null,"citation_count":8,"citer_count":0,"citers_with_citation_signal":0,"citers_with_endowment":0,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_dataset_confidence":0.9278,"is_data_producer":false,"deposit_databanks":null,"is_oa":true,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"2024-01-01","fair_score":null,"fair_percentile":null,"algorithm_id":"datarank_citation_only_1hop_v6","ranking_scope":"data_only","authors":[{"id":1259139,"name":"Ali Vadizadeh","orcid":null,"position":1,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1258648,"name":"Maryam Salehcheh","orcid":"0000-0003-1406-4120","position":2,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1258649,"name":"Mehrnoosh Moosavi","orcid":"0000-0002-6994-3467","position":3,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1258650,"name":"Maryam Shirani","orcid":"0000-0002-9397-1767","position":4,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1258651,"name":"Fereshtesadat Fakhredini","orcid":"0000-0002-7766-3369","position":5,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1258652,"name":"Mohammad Javad Khodayar","orcid":"0000-0001-9518-1286","position":6,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1259138,"name":"Mahdieh Sadat Badiee","orcid":null,"position":0,"is_corresponding":true}],"reference_count":35,"raw_metadata":null,"created_at":"2026-07-19T02:01:29.001453Z","pmid":"39995646","pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
