Our aim in this article is to contribute to a theory of stakeholder identification and salience based on stakeholders possessing one or more of three relationship attributes: power, legitimacy, and urgency. By combining these attributes, we generate a typology of stakeholders, propositions concerning their salience to managers of the firm, and research and management implications.","journal":"The Academy of Management Review","year":1997,"id":3613,"datarank":15.65106593623318,"base_score":9.155461710466193,"endowment":9.155461710466193,"self_citation_contribution":1.3733192565699293,"citation_network_contribution":14.277746679663252,"self_endowment_contribution":1.3733192565699293,"citer_contribution":14.277746679663252,"corpus_percentile":92.4,"corpus_rank":1136,"citation_count":9465,"citer_count":198,"citers_with_citation_signal":198,"citers_with_endowment":198,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"1997-10-01","authors":[{"id":37147,"name":"Bradley R.
