We first explore and refine the dimensions of EO and discuss the usefulness of viewing a firm's EO as a multidimensional construct. Then, drawing on examples from the EO-related contingencies literature, we suggest alternative models (moderating effects, mediating effects, independent effects, interaction effects) for testing the EO-performance relationship.","journal":"The Academy of Management Review","year":1996,"id":940,"datarank":14.824236983334213,"base_score":9.007734471879521,"endowment":9.007734471879521,"self_citation_contribution":1.3511601707819285,"citation_network_contribution":13.473076812552284,"self_endowment_contribution":1.3511601707819285,"citer_contribution":13.473076812552284,"corpus_percentile":88.4,"corpus_rank":1805,"citation_count":8165,"citer_count":186,"citers_with_citation_signal":186,"citers_with_endowment":186,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"1996-01-01","authors":[{"id":12101,"name":"Gregory G.
