{"doi":"10.54441/jnn.2022.2.2.19","title":"Basic principles of electrodiagnostic medicine for intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring","abstract":"<jats:p>Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) is a method of conducting neurophysiological examinations to prevent and minimize surgery complications by detecting neurological damage that may occur during surgery at an early stage by continuously monitoring and evaluating the function of the nervous system. IONM includes accurate interpretation of abnormal findings and appropriate actions by reflecting the overall procedure of the operation and examination of the correct method.
