{"doi":"10.5281/zenodo.17538222","title":"Workshop Polls: Functional evidence and how to use it workshop, November 2023","abstract":"This document contains the consultation polls created for an in person workshop entitled “Functional Evidence Evaluation” held 17 November 2023, at the Human Genetic Society of Australasia Special Interest Group meeting of the Australasian Society of Diagnostic Genomics, as part of the AusMAVE Education Project. The workshop discussed the central recommendations and guidelines on functional evidence use (Richards et al., 2015 and Brnich et al., 2019) and presented some examples of functional assays applicable for a BRCA1 variant. The workshop consultation polls surveyed participant opinion on the variant case-based activities. The workshop was an activity of the AusMAVE Education Project. The AusMAVE Education Project aims to support increased use of functional data/evidence, especially motivated by the increasing body of high throughput functional data. It is an Australian research project funded by the Medical Research Future Fund, APP2015946.
