A significant change in illicit drug usage patterns has occurred in recent years, with the emergence of amphetamine-type stimulants (ATS) replacing earlier illicit drugs such as heroin, opium. This PhD study clarified many of the debated issues in the literature regarding the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions on people who use ATS, showing just how effective psychotherapeutic interventions are and providing practical guidance.
