Their incidence ranges from 0.6 to 1.3% in different series. The most common coronary artery abnormality is the left anterior descending (LAD) and circumflex (CX) arteries originating from separate ostia in the left sinus valsalva. Double right coronary artery (RCA) constitutes a very small group, regarding the total number of coronary artery abnormalities cases. Although quite rare, majority of the case reports that have been published are from Turkey. In a case series from Turkey, this increased frequency was also addressed, and even an anatomical classification for dual RCA was proposed. Dual RCA was previously considered as a benign condition, but latest research puts forth that it may actually be associated with acute coronary syndromes. Considering its relatively high prevalence in our country, double RCA is a clinical condition that every physician should keep in mind.
