{"doi":"10.47749/t/unicamp.2025.1544943","title":"Preservação da interface adesiva","abstract":"This thesis investigates strategies to preserve the integrity of the adhesive interface in dental restorations, which is recognized as one of the main determinants of the clinical longevity of adhesive systems.Despite significant advances in the development of restorative materials, the stability of the adhesive interface remains limited and is frequently associated with early clinical failures and the need for retreatment.In this context, the three studies that compose this thesis address, in a complementary manner, solutions based on both the modification of material chemistry and the modulation of biological interactions occurring at the material-tooth interface, aiming to develop more durable, biologically compatible strategies aligned with the maintenance of oral homeostasis.The first study reviewed the main approaches proposed in the literature to mitigate the mechanisms of hybrid layer degradation, which is recognized as one of the primary factors associated with restoration failure.Multifactorial processes involved in this degradation were discussed, including host-derived enzymatic activity, with emphasis on matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), bacterial protease activity, and the hydrolytic degradation of adhesive systems.In this context, the study highlighted strategies focused on dentin collagen preservation through enzymatic inhibition, the incorporation of antimicrobial agents to limit biofilm formation and activity at the adhesive interface, as well as the development of esterfree polymeric systems.Among these approaches, acrylamide-based monomers were mentioned as promising alternatives, while bioactive resins and materials with self-healing potential were discussed as future perspectives for improving restoration durability.The second","journal":null,"year":2025,"id":588001,"datarank":0.0,"base_score":0.0,"endowment":0.0,"self_citation_contribution":0.0,"citation_network_contribution":0.0,"self_endowment_contribution":0.0,"citer_contribution":0.0,"corpus_percentile":null,"corpus_rank":null,"citation_count":0,"citer_count":0,"citers_with_citation_signal":0,"citers_with_endowment":0,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_dataset_confidence":0.9589,"is_data_producer":false,"deposit_databanks":null,"is_oa":true,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"2025-01-01","fair_score":null,"fair_percentile":null,"algorithm_id":"datarank_citation_only_1hop_v6","ranking_scope":"data_only","authors":[{"id":1367842,"name":"Fernanda Midori Tsuzuki","orcid":"0000-0001-8880-8036","position":0,"is_corresponding":true}],"reference_count":0,"raw_metadata":{"citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-07-19T02:59:43.096742Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
