{"doi":"10.36099/ajahss.3.2.4","title":"ANALYSIS OF PARADIGM SHIFT AND IRRATIONALITY IN THOMAS KUHN’S PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE","abstract":"<jats:p>In this article, I will explore Kuhn’s arguments concerning his\nclaims of “paradigm shift in science is irrational”. First, I will do this by\nlooking into Kuhn’s opinions about paradigms, normal science, and\nrevolutions by taking reference to his writings. Second, I will try to\nunderstand influences and ideas located in “The Structure of Scientific\nRevolutions”. Third, I will look into the scientific examples that related to\nKuhn’s claims about paradigm changes as irrational. I considered the\nparamount importance of historical and well-known examples in science.\nThis is as to why and how Kuhn has concluded and understood the stages\nand effects of paradigm changes are irrational in the collective thinking of\nthe masses in the science world. To get the bottom of Kuhn’s claims in the\nlight of wider scientific changes, I will try to demonstrate relationships\nbetween Kuhn’s specific notions and these scientific examples.
