In this study, the oncolytic potential of the attenuated vaccine strain Leningrad-16 (L-16) of MV was evaluated in a panel of human metastatic melanoma cell lines. The L-16 measles virus was shown to replicate within melanoma cells mediating direct cell killing of tumor cells, although all melanoma cell lines varied in regard to their ability to respond to L-16 MV infection, as revealed by the different pattern of the Interferon Stimulated Gene expression, cytokine release and mechanisms of cell death. Furthermore, the statistically significant L-16 measles virus related tumor growth inhibition was demonstrated in a melanoma xenograft model. Therefore, L-16 MV represents an appealing oncolytic platform for target delivery of therapeutic genes along with other attenuated measles virus strains.
","journal":"Viruses","year":2020,"id":623611,"datarank":0.972190043784568,"base_score":3.044522437723423,"endowment":3.044522437723423,"self_citation_contribution":0.4566783656585135,"citation_network_contribution":0.5155116781260545,"self_endowment_contribution":0.4566783656585135,"citer_contribution":0.5155116781260545,"corpus_percentile":null,"corpus_rank":null,"citation_count":20,"citer_count":17,"citers_with_citation_signal":17,"citers_with_endowment":17,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_dataset_confidence":null,"is_data_producer":false,"deposit_databanks":null,"is_oa":false,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":null,"fair_score":null,"fair_percentile":null,"algorithm_id":"datarank_citation_only_1hop_v6","ranking_scope":"data_only","authors":[{"id":1611713,"name":"Oxana Ryabaya","orcid":null,"position":1,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1611715,"name":"Yulia Shchetinina","orcid":null,"position":2,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1611716,"name":"Elena Prokofeva","orcid":null,"position":3,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1611718,"name":"Marina Gavrilova","orcid":null,"position":4,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1611720,"name":"Dmitry Khochenkov","orcid":"0000-0002-5694-3492","position":5,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":130481,"name":"Denis Vorobyev","orcid":null,"position":6,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1611722,"name":"Evgeny Faizuloev","orcid":null,"position":7,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1611724,"name":"Igor Shohin","orcid":null,"position":8,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1611726,"name":"Vitaly V.
