The cell-free system for protein synthesis has an optimal amino acid requirement which is approximately the same level as that observed in normal cell sap and the absence or excess of amino acids can markedly inhibit the rate of protein synthesis in the ribosomal-dependent system. In the nonribosomal system, the incorporation rate as well as the amino acid requirement are low.","is_dataset_classified":null,"base_score":2.4849066497880004,"endowment":2.4849066497880004,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"views":0,"has_version_chain":false,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"pmid":"4920171","pmcid":null,"openalex_id":"https://openalex.org/W2327086946","authors":[],"funders":[],"total_grants":0,"fwci":1.7547,"citation_percentile":0.84659207,"influential_citations":0,"citation_trend":[],"oa_status":"closed","license":null,"oa_locations":[{"url":"https://doi.org/10.3181/00379727-135-35014","host_type":"journal"},{"url":"https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/4920171","host_type":"repository"}],"fields_of_study":["RNA and protein synthesis mechanisms","Bacteriophages and microbial interactions","Protein Structure and Dynamics"],"mesh_terms":["Amino Acids","Animals","Carbon Isotopes","Cell-Free System","Chromatography","Histocytochemistry","Leucine","Liver","Male","Methods","Radioisotope Dilution Technique","Ribosomes","Time Factors","Protein Biosynthesis","Rats"],"keywords":["Amino acid","Protein biosynthesis","Biochemistry","Cell-free protein synthesis","Cell-free system","Cell","Sephadex","Chemistry","Ribosomal protein","Amino acid synthesis","Ribosomal RNA","Ribosome","Biology","Lysine","RNA","Enzyme","Gene"],"sdg_mappings":[],"linked_datasets":[],"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"database_accessions":[],"source":"live","citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-08-07T19:04:37.979130Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
