A retrospective single-centre cohort study was conducted from 1998 to 2020, including patients diagnosed with invasive melanoma. A total of 2,721 patients were included in the study. The median follow-up was 8.23 years (IQR 4.41-13.25). The median baseline neutrophil- lymphocyte ratio, platelet-lymphocyte ratio and monocyte-lymphocyte ratio values increased significantly (p < 0.001) with the increasing American Joint Committee on Cancer stage. The optimal cut-off values for neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, platelet-lymphocyte ratio and monocyte-lymphocyte ratio were determined as 2.1, 184 and 0.2, respectively. In the multivariate analysis, high levels of neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (≥ 2.1), platelet-lymphocyte ratio (≥ 184) and monocyte-lymphocyte ratio (≥ 0.2) were independently associated with significantly shorter melanoma-specific survival (neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio: HR 1.30, 95% CI 1.06-1.60, p = 0.013; platelet-lymphocyte ratio: HR 1.37, 95% CI 1.06-1.76, p = 0.014; monocyte- lymphocyte ratio: HR 1.29, 95% CI 1.05-1.58, p = 0.015) and overall survival (neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio: HR 1.39, 95% CI 1.19-1.64, p < 0.001; platelet- lymphocyte ratio: HR 1.44, 95% CI 1.19-1.74, p < 0.001; monocyte-lymphocyte ratio: HR 1.42, 95% CI 1.21-1.66, p < 0.001). High levels of neutrophil- lymphocyte ratio and monocyte-lymphocyte ratio were also associated with poor relapse-free survival, while platelet-lymphocyte ratio was not. In conclusion, baseline neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, platelet-lymphocyte ratio and monocyte-lymphocyte ratio were identified as independent predictors for the prognosis of melanoma.","journal":"Acta Dermato Venereologica","year":2024,"id":435163,"datarank":0.0,"base_score":0.0,"endowment":0.0,"self_citation_contribution":0.0,"citation_network_contribution":0.0,"self_endowment_contribution":0.0,"citer_contribution":0.0,"corpus_percentile":null,"corpus_rank":null,"citation_count":12,"citer_count":0,"citers_with_citation_signal":0,"citers_with_endowment":0,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_dataset_confidence":0.7119,"is_data_producer":false,"deposit_databanks":null,"is_oa":true,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"2024-01-01","fair_score":null,"fair_percentile":null,"algorithm_id":"datarank_citation_only_1hop_v6","ranking_scope":"data_only","authors":[{"id":306507,"name":"Cristina Mangas","orcid":null,"position":1,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1242343,"name":"Constanza Riquelme‐Mc Loughlin","orcid":"0000-0001-5385-127X","position":2,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":369164,"name":"Cristina Carrera","orcid":"0000-0003-1608-8820","position":3,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":240403,"name":"Josep Malvehy","orcid":"0000-0002-6998-914X","position":4,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":14427,"name":"Susana Puig","orcid":"0000-0003-1337-9745","position":5,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":620920,"name":"Sebastián Podlipnik","orcid":"0000-0003-4150-0522","position":6,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1242342,"name":"Sümeyre Seda Ertekin","orcid":"0000-0002-6326-6178","position":0,"is_corresponding":true}],"reference_count":40,"raw_metadata":null,"created_at":"2026-07-19T02:00:03.406367Z","pmid":"38655656","pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
