ELWAN, M.D.","orcid":null,"position":0,"is_corresponding":false}],"reference_count":0,"raw_metadata":{"has_enrichment":true,"resolved":true,"title":"Aneurysm Sac Size as a Predictor for Endoleak after Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair of Stanford B Dissecting Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm: Role of MDCT Angiography","abstract":"Background: The endovascular techniques for repair of thoracic aortic aneurysms are significantly increased nowadays, so the possibility of endoleak is also raised.Aim of Work: Pre-operative evaluation of the aortic aneu-rysm using the sac size as a predictor for endoleak after endovascular repair of the thoracic Stanford B dissecting aortic aneurysms.Methods: The study was carried over one hundred and seven patients (88 males and 19 females, range 50-75 year old) from October 2016 to November 2017. Pre and post operative evaluation of all examined patients was done using Multislice CT angiography. Types of endoleak were docu-mented as well as the detailed assessment of the rest of the vascular tree was also done. Results: Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) curve analysis was performed for aneurysm sac size, area under the curve (AUC) was nearly optimal 0.938 (95% CI 0.891-0.984).
