These chemicals are also involved in drug metabolism, enzyme induction, and can cause adverse drug-drug interactions. Being a member of nuclear receptors (NRs), pregnane X receptor (PXR) has recently emerged as transcriptional regulators of cytochrome P450 (CYP) and transporters expression so as to against xenobiotics exposure. This review describes some common nuclear receptors, i.e. farnesoid X receptor (FXR), small heterodimer partner (SHP), hepatocyte nuclear factor-4alpha (HNF-4alpha), liver X receptor (LXR), glucocorticoid receptor (GR), constitutive androstane receptor (CAR) that crosstalk with PXR and involvement of coregulators thus control target genes expression.","is_dataset_classified":null,"base_score":0.0,"endowment":0.0,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"views":0,"has_version_chain":false,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"pmid":"18305371","pmcid":null,"openalex_id":null,"authors":[],"funders":[],"total_grants":0,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"citation_trend":[],"oa_status":"closed","license":"http://www.elsevier.com/tdm/userlicense/1.0/","oa_locations":[{"url":"http://api.elsevier.com/content/article/PII:S1347436715301543?httpAccept=text/xml","host_type":"publisher"},{"url":"http://api.elsevier.com/content/article/PII:S1347436715301543?httpAccept=text/plain","host_type":"publisher"}],"fields_of_study":[],"mesh_terms":["Animals","Humans","Receptors, Cytoplasmic and Nuclear","Receptors, Steroid","Receptors, Glucocorticoid","Receptor Cross-Talk","Gene Expression Regulation","Pregnane X Receptor"],"keywords":[],"sdg_mappings":[],"linked_datasets":[],"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"database_accessions":[],"source":"live","citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-07-24T14:13:51.696201Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
