Interactions among the internal conditions in an absorber were considered in this aerosol model. Additionally, an experiment was conducted to measure aerosol particle size, for collecting in-house validation data. Sucrose was used as the aerosol nuclei instead of sulfuric acid to prevent the corrosion of equipment used in the experiment. Experimental results showed that the outlet aerosol sizes increased to the same size regardless of the sucrose concentrations. The aerosol growth model was validated using the in-house experimental data. The aerosol growth model efficiently predicted the aerosol size. For investigating aerosol growth effects, particle number concentration was determined to be the primary factor affecting aerosol growth and amine emissions. When the particle number concentration increased, the aerosol size decreased, whereas the MEA emission increased.
","journal":null,"year":null,"id":603862,"datarank":0.10397207708399181,"base_score":0.6931471805599453,"endowment":0.6931471805599453,"self_citation_contribution":0.10397207708399181,"citation_network_contribution":0.0,"self_endowment_contribution":0.10397207708399181,"citer_contribution":0.0,"corpus_percentile":null,"corpus_rank":null,"citation_count":1,"citer_count":0,"citers_with_citation_signal":0,"citers_with_endowment":0,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_dataset_confidence":null,"is_data_producer":false,"deposit_databanks":null,"is_oa":false,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":null,"fair_score":null,"fair_percentile":null,"algorithm_id":"datarank_citation_only_1hop_v6","ranking_scope":"data_only","authors":[{"id":1549163,"name":"Kuan-Ting Liu","orcid":null,"position":1,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1549164,"name":"David Shan-Hill Wong","orcid":null,"position":2,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1549165,"name":"Shi-Shang Jang","orcid":null,"position":3,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1549166,"name":"De-Hao Tsai","orcid":null,"position":4,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":1549162,"name":"Jia-Lin Kang","orcid":null,"position":0,"is_corresponding":false}],"reference_count":0,"raw_metadata":{"has_enrichment":true,"resolved":true,"title":"Multi-scale Modeling and Study of Aerosol Growth on Amine-Based CO2 Capture Absorber","abstract":"
In this study, a monoethanolamine aerosol growth model was developed to investigate the aerosol growth factor.
