{"doi":"10.17615/xyx9-6c04","title":"Lower doses of recombinant porcine factor VIII maintain excellent haemostatic efficacy","abstract":"Acquired hemophilia A (AHA) is a rare disorder in which an acquired autoantibody inhibits the activity of coagulation factor VIII. It affects an estimated 1 per million population annually and can cause bleeding that may be life-threatening. Mortality rates are estimated to be between 7% and 27%, which may be influenced by the advanced age and co-morbidities of the typical patients with acquired hemophilia.
