But because the majority of the transfers are received by people who are not among the extreme poor there is room for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of spending on safety nets which. These programs should be productive and concentrate on the extreme poor Basotho. In the long run, Lesotho should move towards a more consolidated safety net and strengthen existing programs, such as the Child Grants Program, that already provide some important and positive outcomes and enjoy strong popular and political support.","is_dataset_classified":null,"base_score":2.3978952727983707,"endowment":2.3978952727983707,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"views":0,"has_version_chain":false,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"pmid":"19910364","pmcid":null,"openalex_id":"https://openalex.org/W1939841400","authors":[],"funders":[],"total_grants":0,"fwci":1.0476,"citation_percentile":0.85054348,"influential_citations":0,"citation_trend":[{"year":2013,"count":3},{"year":2015,"count":1},{"year":2016,"count":2},{"year":2019,"count":1},{"year":2021,"count":2},{"year":2022,"count":1}],"oa_status":"green","license":"cc-by","oa_locations":[{"url":"http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2013/06/19748280/lesotho-safety-net-end-extreme-poverty","host_type":"repository"},{"url":"http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2013/06/19748280/lesotho-safety-net-end-extreme-poverty","host_type":"repository"},{"url":"https://doi.org/10.1596/18967","host_type":"ebook platform"}],"fields_of_study":["Poverty, Education, and Child Welfare"],"mesh_terms":[],"keywords":["Safety net","Poverty","Extreme poverty","Inclusive growth","Development economics","Social protection","Economic growth","Business","Economics","Political science"],"sdg_mappings":[{"sdg_number":0,"sdg_label":"No poverty"}],"linked_datasets":[],"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"database_accessions":[],"source":"live","citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-08-03T02:10:23.420903Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
