{"doi":"10.1542/peds.73.2.264a","title":"Pharyngeal Gonorrhea","abstract":"<jats:p>To the Editor.—</jats:p>\n               <jats:p>The article, \"Screening for Pharyngeal Gonorrhea in the Urban Teenager,\"1 calls attention to the pharynx as an important site of infection and recommends routine culture of the pharynx in this population group.</jats:p>\n               <jats:p>Among 80 adolescents with gonorrhea, 15 (19%) had pharyngeal infection.
