In 41 diabetics, we conducted a questionnaire survey to evaluate symptoms of peripheral neuropathy and select appropriate drug therapy. We investigated 27 patients who participated in the first and second questionnaire surveys. We reviewed questionnaire items, and examined the correlation between the therapeutic effects and responses to the questionnaire. Concerning the usefulness of the questionnaire items, some questions were correlated with the effects. Treatment was effective for somatic neuropathy, but not for autonomic neuropathy.
