Lina was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, colleague, mentor, and internationally-renowned physician scientist. Lina's research, which spanned more than 30 years, was pivotal in the fields of sphingolipid metabolism, apoptosis, and most recently, cancer.
