{"doi":"10.1159/000469376","title":"Tartrate-Resistant Acid Phosphatase in Human Alveolar\nMacrophages","abstract":"<jats:p>Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase has been extracted from human alveolar\nmacrophages, in which its specific activity is 10-fold that in whole lung. The apparent identity\nof the alveolar macrophage isoenzyme with that associated with osteoclasts suggests that both\ntypes of cell belong to the mononuclear phagocyte system.
