{"doi":"10.1145/3765612.3767762","title":"scMultiNODE: Integrative and Scalable Framework for Multi-Modal Temporal Single-Cell Data","abstract":"Biological systems are inherently dynamic, constantly changing and adapting over time, and function at different scales. Recent advances in single-cell technologies have enabled temporally resolved, multi-modal measurements (or modalities) such as gene expression and chromatin accessibility, providing unprecedented opportunities to study development at high resolution. However, most computational approaches analyze only one modality, which limits biological insight due to noise, biases, and incomplete information from only one modality. While integrating multiple modalities offers a more comprehensive view, this remains challenging because single-cell assays are destructive, producing \"unaligned\" datasets across modalities and time.
