{"doi":"10.1139/v70-027","title":"Self-association of alcohols and phenols in nonpolar solvents","abstract":"<jats:p> A number of alcohols (primary, secondary, and tertiary) and phenols, covering a pK<jats:sub>a</jats:sub> range from 9.4 to 19.0, gave on association a peak about 125 ± 5 cm<jats:sup>−1</jats:sup> lower than the monomeric hydroxyl peak in the fundamental stretching region.
