{"doi":"10.1135/cccc19801826","title":"Synthesis of acyl 1-acetoxy-2-phenoxyethanes and the corresponding hydroxy derivatives","abstract":"<jats:p>Acyl 1-acetoxy-2-phenoxyethanes <jats:italic>Ia-Id</jats:italic> were prepared by aluminium chloride or polyphosphoric acid-catalyzed Friedel-Crafts acylation. Subsequent hydrolysis gave the corresponding alcohols <jats:italic>IIa-IId</jats:italic>.
