{"doi":"10.1128/aem.46.2.521-524.1983","title":"Evaluation of Nitrate Reductase Activity in\n            <i>Rhizobium japonicum</i>","abstract":"<jats:p>\n            Nitrate reductase activity was evaluated by four approaches, using four strains of\n            <jats:italic>Rhizobium japonicum</jats:italic>\n            and 11 chlorate-resistant mutants of the four strains. It was concluded that in vitro assays with bacteria or bacteroids provide the most simple and reliable assessment of the presence or absence of nitrate reductase.
