Enhancers are DNA sequences that loop with promoters to initiate transcription. Chen\n            <jats:italic>et al.</jats:italic>\n            show that enhancers also regulate gene expression by modulating transcription elongation. PAF1, a RNA polymerase II–associated factor, sits on enhancers.
