{"doi":"10.1126/science.153.3740.1125","title":"Nucleic Acid Guanine: Reaction with the Carcinogen\n            <i>N</i>\n            -Acetoxy-2-Acetylaminofluorene","abstract":"<jats:p>\n            Reaction of\n            <jats:italic>N</jats:italic>\n            -acetoxy-2-acetylaminofluorene with DNA or RNA at\n            <jats:italic>p</jats:italic>\n            H 7 causes marked increase in absorption at 280 to 320 millimicrons and marked decrease in guanine content. Reaction with guanosine-8-\n            <jats:sup>14</jats:sup>\n            C yields a radioactive fluorescent derivative.
