{"doi":"10.1117/12.2654408","title":"Quantum entanglement for identifying true coincidences in a CZT-based PET system","abstract":"Quantum entanglement provides an innovative approach to subtracting noise from the reconstructed image. We are studying the presence of correlated back-to-back gamma rays on a dual panel detector which utilizes the cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) cross strip configuration. This is performed by plotting the relative azimuthal angle of DCSc events and identifying regions that correspond to the entangled pairs of gammas.
