{"doi":"10.1111/jan.13985","title":"Transitions from child to adult health care for young people with intellectual disabilities: A systematic review","abstract":"<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:sec><jats:title>Aims</jats:title><jats:p>To examine the experiences of health transitions for young people with intellectual disabilities and their carers and identify the implications for nursing practice.</jats:p></jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Design</jats:title><jats:p>A systematic review and critical appraisal of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods studies.</jats:p></jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Data sources</jats:title><jats:p>A search of the relevant literature published 2007–2017 was carried out in <jats:styled-content style=\"fixed-case\">AMED</jats:styled-content>,<jats:styled-content style=\"fixed-case\"> ASSIA</jats:styled-content>,<jats:styled-content style=\"fixed-case\"> CINAHL</jats:styled-content>,<jats:styled-content style=\"fixed-case\"> MEDLINE</jats:styled-content>, Psyc<jats:styled-content style=\"fixed-case\">INFO</jats:styled-content>, PubMed, and Science Direct Sociological Abstracts databases.</jats:p></jats:sec><jats:sec><jats:title>Review methods</jats:title><jats:p>A total of 12 of 637 papers identified in the search met the inclusion criteria for this review.
