{"doi":"10.1111/j.1751-1097.1999.tb03346.x","title":"Photoregulation of DMA Photolyases in Broom <i>Sorghum</i> Seedlings","abstract":"<jats:p><jats:bold>Abstract—</jats:bold> Using dark‐grown 3 day‐old <jats:italic>Sorghum bicolor</jats:italic> seedlings, photorepair of cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (CPD) by CPD‐photoIyase and pyrimidine‐(6–4)pyrimidinone photoproducts ([6–4]PP) by [6–4]PP‐photolyase was studied <jats:italic>in vivo</jats:italic> and <jats:italic>in vitro.</jats:italic> The two types of DNA photoproducts were measured with specific monoclonal antibodies. <jats:italic>Sorghum</jats:italic> seedlings have different photorepair enzymes for CPD and [6–4]PP.
