In the mild AD group, the MMSE had a sensitivity of 78%, whereas the MoCA detected 100%. Specificity was excellent for both MMSE and MoCA (100% and 87%, respectively).
Conclusion
MCI as an entity is evolving and somewhat controversial. The MoCA is a brief cognitive screening tool with high sensitivity and specificity for detecting MCI as currently conceptualized in patients performing in the normal range on the MMSE.","journal":"Journal of the American Geriatrics Society","year":2005,"id":275,"datarank":23.036046008712834,"base_score":10.124669180536797,"endowment":10.124669180536797,"self_citation_contribution":1.5187003770805199,"citation_network_contribution":21.517345631632313,"self_endowment_contribution":1.5187003770805199,"citer_contribution":21.517345631632313,"corpus_percentile":98.9,"corpus_rank":241,"citation_count":24950,"citer_count":192,"citers_with_citation_signal":192,"citers_with_endowment":192,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"2005-03-30","authors":[{"id":2711,"name":"Natalie A.
