{"doi":"10.1109/ppps56198.2025.11248251","title":"Geometric Impact of Volume Dielectric Barrier Discharge Electrodes on Biological Substrates: An Investigation via Electro-Optical Characterization","abstract":"Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) generated by volume dielectric barrier discharges (VDBDs) offers a non-thermal, antimicrobial treatment modality for biological tissues. This study investigates how different electrode geometries affect plasma behavior during treatment of various fungi strains and infected corneal tissue. Our results reveal geometry-dependent changes in dissipated power, and filament activity. The treatment of different biological substrates can also jointly affect plasma coupling parameters when serving as the counter electrode regardless of identical applied settings.
