The system serves as a low-cost workstation on a local area network. Via the network a sequence of angiograms is down-loaded to the workstation for the purpose of review and quantitative analysis. Under this workstation and network environment, the work load on the front-end processor for angiogram acquisition is distributed, and multiple access to the angiogram data base is allowed.
