It has been pointed out that the discrete vibrational modes may be responsible for the long-lived coherence. Here, we propose an analytical non-Markovian model to explain the origin of the long-lived coherence in pigment-protein complexes. We show that the memory effect of the discrete vibrational modes produces a long oscillating tail in the coherence.
