{"doi":"10.1103/physrevd.111.075023","title":"Scotogenic model with U(1) symmetry and a scalar dark matter","abstract":"<jats:p>We study a scotogenic model augmented with an additional <a:math xmlns:a=\"http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML\" display=\"inline\"><a:mi>U</a:mi><a:mo stretchy=\"false\">(</a:mo><a:mn>1</a:mn><a:mo stretchy=\"false\">)</a:mo></a:math> gauge and a discrete <e:math xmlns:e=\"http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML\" display=\"inline\"><e:msub><e:mi>Z</e:mi><e:mn>2</e:mn></e:msub></e:math> symmetry. The lightest <g:math xmlns:g=\"http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML\" display=\"inline\"><g:msub><g:mi>Z</g:mi><g:mn>2</g:mn></g:msub></g:math>-odd particle in our model becomes the dark matter (DM) candidate while tiny neutrino masses are realized at one loop. We explore the parameter space of the model for which the DM relic density is satisfied, and the correct low-energy neutrino observables are reproduced. The extended gauge symmetry includes a beyond Standard Model (SM) particle spectrum consisting of vectorlike fermions and scalars.
