Thermodynamical Properties of Lennard-Jones Molecules","abstract":"The equation of motion of a system of 864 particles interacting through a Lennard-Jones potential has been integrated for various values of the temperature and density, relative, generally, to a fluid state. The equilibrium properties have been calculated and are shown to agree very well with the corresponding properties of argon. It is concluded that, to a good approximation, the equilibrium state of argon can be described through a two-body potential.","journal":"Physical Review","year":1967,"id":1791,"datarank":34.55163768642786,"base_score":9.13550906135318,"endowment":9.13550906135318,"self_citation_contribution":1.370326359202977,"citation_network_contribution":33.18131132722488,"self_endowment_contribution":1.370326359202977,"citer_contribution":33.18131132722488,"corpus_percentile":99.4,"corpus_rank":1091,"citation_count":9278,"citer_count":198,"citers_with_citation_signal":198,"citers_with_endowment":198,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":true,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"1967-07-05","authors":[{"id":20354,"name":"Loup Verlet","orcid":null,"position":0,"is_corresponding":true}],"reference_count":17,"raw_metadata":{"citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-03-01T18:20:47.508186Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
