{"doi":"10.1093/nar/gkac972","title":"The International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium: comprehensive knockout phenotyping underpinning the study of human disease","abstract":"The International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC; https://www.mousephenotype.org/) web portal makes available curated, integrated and analysed knockout mouse phenotyping data generated by the IMPC project consisting of 85M data points and over 95,000 statistically significant phenotype hits mapped to human diseases. The IMPC portal delivers a substantial reference dataset that supports the enrichment of various domain-specific projects and databases, as well as the wider research and clinical community, where the IMPC genotype-phenotype knowledge contributes to the molecular diagnosis of patients affected by rare disorders. Data from 9,000 mouse lines and 750 000 images provides vital resources enabling the interpretation of the ignorome, and advancing our knowledge on mammalian gene function and the mechanisms underlying phenotypes associated with human diseases. The resource is widely integrated and the lines have been used in over 4,600 publications indicating the value of the data and the materials.","journal":"Nucleic Acids Research","year":2022,"id":231772,"datarank":4.591589006305409,"base_score":6.126869184114185,"endowment":6.126869184114185,"self_citation_contribution":0.9190303776171279,"citation_network_contribution":3.6725586286882805,"self_endowment_contribution":0.9190303776171279,"citer_contribution":3.6725586286882805,"corpus_percentile":95.24251566488745,"corpus_rank":616,"citation_count":457,"citer_count":100,"citers_with_citation_signal":100,"citers_with_endowment":100,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":true,"is_dataset_confidence":0.9541,"is_data_producer":false,"deposit_databanks":null,"is_oa":true,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"2022-01-01","fair_score":45.8333,"fair_percentile":59.49250993579945,"algorithm_id":"datarank_citation_only_1hop_v6","ranking_scope":"data_only","authors":[{"id":30398,"name":"Federico López","orcid":"0000-0002-7138-3542","position":1,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":839461,"name":"Hamed Mashhadi","orcid":"0000-0002-0514-1617","position":2,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":266970,"name":"Violeta Muñoz‐Fuentes","orcid":"0000-0003-3574-546X","position":3,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":838681,"name":"Osman Güneş","orcid":"0000-0002-4987-6981","position":4,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":838687,"name":"Robert Wilson","orcid":"0000-0002-9407-5526","position":5,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":266969,"name":"Pilar Cacheiro","orcid":"0000-0002-6335-8208","position":6,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":839462,"name":"Anthony Frost","orcid":"0000-0002-2385-1380","position":7,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":491231,"name":"Piia Keskivali-Bond","orcid":null,"position":8,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":840759,"name":"Bora Vardal","orcid":null,"position":9,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":839463,"name":"Aaron McCoy","orcid":"0000-0001-6487-3546","position":10,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":840760,"name":"Tsz Kwan Cheng","orcid":null,"position":11,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":634039,"name":"Luís Santos","orcid":"0000-0001-6403-4902","position":12,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":268820,"name":"Sara Wells","orcid":"0000-0002-0572-0600","position":13,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":11700,"name":"Damian Smedley","orcid":"0000-0002-5836-9850","position":14,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":6405,"name":"Ann‐Marie Mallon","orcid":"0000-0003-4047-4019","position":15,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":2833,"name":"Helen Parkinson","orcid":"0000-0003-3035-4195","position":16,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":27575,"name":"Tudor Groza","orcid":"0000-0003-2267-8333","position":0,"is_corresponding":true}],"reference_count":45,"raw_metadata":null,"created_at":"2026-07-19T00:20:51.245255Z","pmid":"36305825","pmcid":"PMC9825559","fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":72.2222,"fair_a":81.25,"fair_i":40.0,"fair_r":25.0,"fair_zscore":0.4506,"fair_rationale":{"fair_score":45.83,"has_llm":true,"taxonomy_version":"fair_taxonomy_v5","dimensions":{"F":{"name":"Findable","score":72.22,"criteria":[{"key":"f_dataset_pid","label":"Persistent identifier for the data","kind":"llm","weight":2.0,"fraction":0.5,"verdict":"partial","evidence":"IMPC FTP data releases: http://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/impc/","grounded":true,"rationale":"The only location given is an FTP URL, not a persistent identifier scheme.","anchors":["RDA-F1-01D — FAIR Data Maturity Model: 'Data is identified by a persistent identifier' (priorit","RDA-F1-02D — FAIR Data Maturity Model: 'Data is identified by a globally unique identifier'","FsF-F1-02D — F-UJI/FAIRsFAIR: 'Data is assigned a persistent identifier'"],"scored":true,"signal":null},{"key":"f_repository_named","label":"Named repository","kind":"llm","weight":2.0,"fraction":0.5,"verdict":"partial","evidence":"IMPC Web Portal: https://www.mousephenotype.org/","grounded":true,"rationale":"The paper names the IMPC Web Portal as the host, which is a project website, not a curated repository.","anchors":["RDA-F4-01M — FAIR Data Maturity Model: metadata is offered so it can be harvested and indexed (","NIH DMS Policy Element 4 (NOT-OD-21-014) — name the repository where data will be archived","NSTC Desirable Characteristics of Data Repositories (2022) — 'Long-Term Sustainability', 'Reten"],"scored":true,"signal":null},{"key":"f_data_availability_statement","label":"Data-availability statement","kind":"llm","weight":2.0,"fraction":1.0,"verdict":"yes","evidence":"IMPC Web Portal: https://www.mousephenotype.org/ IMPC FTP data releases: http://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/databases/impc/","grounded":true,"rationale":"The data-availability statement points to a public repository (FTP link) for archived data.
