{"doi":"10.1093/nar/30.1.276","title":"The Pfam Protein Families Database","abstract":"Pfam is a large collection of protein multiple sequence alignments and profile hidden Markov models. Pfam is available on the World Wide Web in the UK at http://www.sanger.ac.uk/Software/Pfam/, in Sweden at http://www.cgb.ki.se/Pfam/, in France at http://pfam.jouy.inra.fr/ and in the US at http://pfam.wustl.edu/. The latest version (6.6) of Pfam contains 3071 families, which match 69% of proteins in SWISS-PROT 39 and TrEMBL 14. Structural data, where available, have been utilised to ensure that Pfam families correspond with structural domains, and to improve domain-based annotation. Predictions of non-domain regions are now also included. In addition to secondary structure, Pfam multiple sequence alignments now contain active site residue mark-up. New search tools, including taxonomy search and domain query, greatly add to the functionality and usability of the Pfam resource.","journal":"Nucleic Acids Research","year":2002,"id":3455,"datarank":31.78590892424547,"base_score":9.5620530240851,"endowment":9.5620530240851,"self_citation_contribution":1.4343079536127654,"citation_network_contribution":30.351600970632703,"self_endowment_contribution":1.4343079536127654,"citer_contribution":30.351600970632703,"corpus_percentile":100.0,"corpus_rank":2551,"citation_count":14214,"citer_count":192,"citers_with_citation_signal":192,"citers_with_endowment":192,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"is_dataset":true,"is_oa":true,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":"2002-01-01","authors":[{"id":11682,"name":"Alex Bateman","orcid":null,"position":1,"is_corresponding":false}],"reference_count":66,"raw_metadata":{"citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-03-01T18:20:47.508186Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
