{"doi":"10.1093/ibd/izab148","title":"Low Serum Tumor Necrosis Factor-α Antagonist Concentrations in Patients With Inflammatory Bowel Disease Who Achieve Healing From Pyoderma Gangrenosum","abstract":"To the Editors, Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a rare, sterile dermatosis that occurs in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).1 Mainstays of therapy include topical and systemic immunosuppressants, with limited data supporting the use of tumor necrosis-α antagonists (TNFAs).2, 3 There are little published data on the dose, concentration, or duration of therapy needed to achieve long-term PG remission with TNFA treatment, despite extensive reports on the management of luminal IBD. Given that there are no data on the TNFA concentration required for achieving PG healing in IBD, we aimed to describe the serum TNFA concentrations (infliximab or adalimumab) measured in patients with IBD who achieved complete or near-complete resolution of PG ulcers.
