Whilst psychological distress has been linked to elevated cardiovascular risks, the strong correlation between cancer and cardiovascular diseases may modify the cardiovascular effects of psychological distress. It is thus unclear if these associations hold true for cancer survivors. Investigations in this area are needed as the number of cancer survivors increases.
