Matches between requests and offers were examined.Findings Cancer caregivers requested different types of support from their guests, most commonly emotional support. However, in most posts, caregivers did not request any support (n = 238, 61.18%). Guests offered all support types, but predominately offered emotional support (n = 2,353, 95%). When support was requested, 66.67% of requests received a matched offer within 24 hours.Interpretation Social media platforms may provide all types of support to caregivers.","is_dataset_classified":null,"base_score":2.8903717578961645,"endowment":2.8903717578961645,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"views":0,"has_version_chain":false,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"pmid":"32835649","pmcid":null,"openalex_id":"https://openalex.org/W3080369391","authors":[],"funders":[],"total_grants":0,"fwci":0.6835,"citation_percentile":0.70918408,"influential_citations":0,"citation_trend":[{"year":2021,"count":1},{"year":2022,"count":1},{"year":2023,"count":7},{"year":2024,"count":3},{"year":2025,"count":4},{"year":2026,"count":1}],"oa_status":"closed","license":null,"oa_locations":[{"url":"https://doi.org/10.1080/07347332.2020.1806174","host_type":"journal"},{"url":"https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32835649","host_type":"repository"}],"fields_of_study":["Cancer survivorship and care","Family Support in Illness","Family and Patient Care in Intensive Care Units"],"mesh_terms":["Adult","Female","Humans","Male","Neoplasms","Retrospective Studies","Social Support","Caregivers","Social Media"],"keywords":["Social support","Emotional support","Psychology","Social network (sociolinguistics)","Social media","Support group","Computer science","World Wide Web","Social psychology","Psychiatry","Technology","Family","Qualitative","Cancer Caregiver"],"sdg_mappings":[{"sdg_number":0,"sdg_label":"Reduced inequalities"}],"linked_datasets":[],"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"database_accessions":[],"source":"live","citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-08-15T06:06:06.495003Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
