{"doi":"10.1073/pnas.2010545117","title":"Human γδ T cells recognize CD1b by two distinct mechanisms","abstract":"Significance γδ T cells are an abundant component of the human immune system that protect against infection and cancer. Here we show that γδ T cells recognize CD1b proteins, which are known for their capacity to present lipid antigens to αβ T cells. Recognition of CD1b is dependent on the presented lipid antigen for some γδ T cells, but a lipid-independent pattern was also observed.
