The inhibition of lung tumor growth by MR409 is accompanied by down-regulation of pituitary-type GHRH receptor and its splice-variant in pituitary glands and tumors. Our findings resemble well-known phenomena of the suppression of sex hormone-dependent cancers after the down-regulation of receptors for luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) by LHRH agonists. In addition to hinting at previously unknown approaches to possible uses of GHRH agonists, these findings may relieve serious concerns about stimulating growth of cancers with GHRH agonists in the course of therapy for other diseases and conditions.
","journal":"Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences","year":2018,"id":16315,"datarank":0.9673105216356105,"base_score":3.6888794541139363,"endowment":3.6888794541139363,"self_citation_contribution":0.5533319181170905,"citation_network_contribution":0.41397860351852,"self_endowment_contribution":0.5533319181170905,"citer_contribution":0.41397860351852,"corpus_percentile":null,"corpus_rank":null,"citation_count":39,"citer_count":18,"citers_with_citation_signal":15,"citers_with_endowment":15,"datacite_reuse_total":10,"is_dataset":false,"is_dataset_confidence":null,"is_data_producer":false,"deposit_databanks":null,"is_oa":false,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"has_version_chain":false,"published_date":null,"fair_score":null,"fair_percentile":null,"algorithm_id":"datarank_citation_only_1hop_v6","ranking_scope":"data_only","authors":[{"id":72533,"name":"Haibo Wang","orcid":"0000-0003-2416-9153","position":1,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":120866,"name":"Jinlin He","orcid":null,"position":2,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":120867,"name":"Renzhi Cai","orcid":null,"position":3,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":120868,"name":"Wei Sha","orcid":null,"position":4,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":120869,"name":"Petra Popovics","orcid":null,"position":5,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":120870,"name":"Roberto Perez","orcid":null,"position":6,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":120871,"name":"Irving Vidaurre","orcid":null,"position":7,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":120872,"name":"Xianyang Zhang","orcid":null,"position":8,"is_corresponding":false},{"id":116845,"name":"Andrew V.
