Although the younger of identical twins had no neurological problems, CT and MRI detected cerebral infarctions and cerebral angiography showed the typical features of moyamoya disease. All three cases underwent encephalo-duro-arterio-synangiosis (EDAS), and serial magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) showed that the distal portions of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) were well perfused through surgically created anastomoses. There were no findings of disease progression. MRA might play an important role in follow-up studies of moyamoya disease.","is_dataset_classified":null,"base_score":2.0794415416798357,"endowment":2.0794415416798357,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"views":0,"has_version_chain":false,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"pmid":"7791948","pmcid":null,"openalex_id":"https://openalex.org/W2031148385","authors":[],"funders":[],"total_grants":0,"fwci":0.902,"citation_percentile":0.73941606,"influential_citations":0,"citation_trend":[],"oa_status":"closed","license":null,"oa_locations":[{"url":"http://www.thieme-connect.de/products/ejournals/pdf/10.1055/s-2007-979716.pdf","host_type":"publisher"},{"url":"https://doi.org/10.1055/s-2007-979716","host_type":"journal"},{"url":"https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7791948","host_type":"repository"}],"fields_of_study":["Moyamoya disease diagnosis and treatment","Intracranial Aneurysms: Treatment and Complications","Cerebrovascular and Carotid Artery Diseases","Brain","Cerebral Arteries","Cerebrovascular Disorders","Child","Child, Preschool","Diseases in Twins","Electroencephalography","HLA Antigens","Humans","Magnetic Resonance Angiography","Male","Moyamoya Disease","Tomography, Emission-Computed, Single-Photon","Tomography, X-Ray Computed"],"mesh_terms":["Brain","Cerebral Arteries","Cerebrovascular Disorders","Child","Child, Preschool","Diseases in Twins","Electroencephalography","HLA Antigens","Humans","Male","Moyamoya Disease","Tomography, X-Ray Computed","Tomography, Emission-Computed, Single-Photon","Magnetic Resonance Angiography"],"keywords":["Moyamoya disease","Medicine","Magnetic resonance angiography","EDAS","Magnetic resonance imaging","Radiology","Angiography","Anastomosis","Cerebral angiography","Middle cerebral artery","Conventional angiography","Cardiology","Surgery","Ischemia"],"sdg_mappings":[{"sdg_number":0,"sdg_label":"Good health and well-being"}],"linked_datasets":[],"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"database_accessions":[],"source":"live","citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-08-10T13:45:52.463891Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
