Annotation of phenotypic associations with variation in the connectome and cataloging of neurophenotypes promise to transform our understanding of the human brain. In this Review, we provide a survey of magnetic resonance imaging–based measurements of functional and structural connectivity. We highlight emerging areas of development and inquiry and emphasize the importance of integrating structural and functional perspectives on brain architecture.","is_dataset_classified":null,"base_score":0.0,"endowment":0.0,"datacite_reuse_total":0,"file_count":0,"downloads":0,"views":0,"has_version_chain":false,"is_dataset":false,"is_oa":false,"pmid":"23722212","pmcid":"PMC4096321","openalex_id":null,"authors":[],"funders":[{"funder_name":"Medical Research Council","grant_id":"G0800578","title":null},{"funder_name":"NIMH NIH HHS","grant_id":"R01MH094639","title":null},{"funder_name":"NIMH NIH HHS","grant_id":"K23MH087770","title":null},{"funder_name":"NIEHS NIH HHS","grant_id":"R01 ES017436","title":null},{"funder_name":"National Institutes of Health","grant_id":"5R01ES017436-02","title":"Bayesian Methods for Assessing Gene by Environment Interactions"},{"funder_name":"National Institutes of Health","grant_id":"1K23MH087770-01","title":"Translational Developmental Neuroscience of Autism"},{"funder_name":"National Institutes of Health","grant_id":"5R01MH094639-03","title":"Discovery Science of Human Brain Function Across the Lifespan"}],"total_grants":7,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"citation_trend":[],"oa_status":"green","license":"Springer TDM","oa_locations":[{"url":"https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/4096321","host_type":"repository"},{"url":"https://doi.org/10.1038/nmeth.2482","host_type":""},{"url":"https://europepmc.org/articles/pmc4096321?pdf=render","host_type":""},{"url":"https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23722212","host_type":""},{"url":"https://dx.doi.org/10.1038/nmeth.2482","host_type":""},{"url":"https://ora.ox.ac.uk/objects/uuid:0c9a1f9e-b5e9-4a9e-b936-062d164576ee","host_type":""}],"fields_of_study":["0301 basic medicine","03 medical and health sciences","0302 clinical medicine"],"mesh_terms":["Brain","Humans","Magnetic Resonance Imaging","Phenotype","Connectome"],"keywords":["Phenotype","Connectome","Brain","Humans","Magnetic Resonance Imaging"],"sdg_mappings":[],"linked_datasets":[],"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"database_accessions":[],"source":"live","citation_network_status":"fetched"},"created_at":"2026-07-30T05:03:22.858850Z","pmid":null,"pmcid":null,"fwci":null,"citation_percentile":null,"influential_citations":0,"oa_status":null,"license":null,"views":0,"total_file_size_bytes":0,"version_count":0,"fair_f":null,"fair_a":null,"fair_i":null,"fair_r":null,"fair_zscore":null,"fair_rationale":null,"fair_model":null,"fair_agent_version":null,"fair_fulltext_source":null,"fair_has_llm":null,"fair_computed_at":null,"clinical_trials":[],"software_tools":[],"db_accessions":[],"linked_datasets":[],"topics":[]}
