{"doi":"10.1017/s0950268800047634","title":"Molecular epidemiology of shigella infection in Central Australia","abstract":"<jats:title>SUMMARY</jats:title><jats:p>Shigellosis is endemic in Central Australia and the infections are predominantly due to<jats:italic>Shigella flexneri</jats:italic>6,<jats:italic>Shigella flexneri</jats:italic>2a and<jats:italic>Shigella sonnei</jats:italic>.
